Mosaic Arts Workshop
with Donna Billick

A rare opportunity to create with a master artist!
Todos Santos is famous as an artist’s colony, and renowned Todos Santos mosaic arts instructor Donna Billick is opening her studio to travelers who would like to learn some mosaic art skills and create a piece of art during their stay in town.

This engaging, hands-on workshop takes place at Donna’s Todos Artes studio in downtown Todos Santos over 3 days, 3 hours per day. Students will learn all aspects of design, fabrication, and completion of a mosaic work of art. If you are able and so inclined, you can bring your own ecobrick – a large plastic bottle stuffed full of nonbiodegradable plastic – that can be turned into a mosaic table, stool, lamp, or totem. Ask your concierge if they have any ecobricks available for you to work on! Open to all!

Donna Billick is the founder of Billick Rock Art in California and Todos Artes in Todos Santos. A former professor of art at University of California Davis, Donna has created over 500 pieces of large scale mosaic art for public spaces throughout California. In Todos Santos she runs the annual Heaven on Earth mosaic workshop through which she engaged the Todos Santos community in building two large pieces of public art that are now some of the most iconic images of the town: the Aztec Calendar just off the Todos Santos town plaza, and the Los Todos Santeños wall along lower Topete.
